A Kid's Place

A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay is a faith-driven nonprofit organization answering God’s call to care for orphans and vulnerable children. Their mission is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing home for children from birth to age 18 who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Located on a five-acre campus in Brandon, Florida, A Kid’s Place features five family-style homes where siblings can remain together in a comforting, home-like environment during times of crisis. With a focus on keeping families united, the organization meets each child’s emotional, educational, medical, and spiritual needs—offering stability, hope, and love until a permanent home can be found.

Homeless Not Hopeless is a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry dedicated to serving and uplifting the homeless community through compassion, care, and the love of Jesus. Founded by a family with a heart for outreach in Bradenton, Florida, the organization provides food, supplies, and encouragement while sharing God’s Word through outdoor Bible studies and fellowship. Believing that every person has purpose and hope, Homeless Not Hopeless meets people where they are—offering not just help for today, but hope for tomorrow through faith, community, and the message that with God, no one is truly hopeless.

Founded in 2021 after a transformative encounter, this organization believes in shining light out of darkness—bringing love, grace and practical support to communities in need, while partnering with volunteers, churches, businesses and individuals to “Revive souls & Restore hope."

Pace Center For Girls

​Pace Center for Girls is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing middle and high school girls with the support, guidance, and resources necessary to thrive. Their programs offer a full academic school day combined with comprehensive mental health support, tailored to meet each girl's unique needs. Whether seeking a fresh start in school or additional social and emotional assistance, Pace provides a safe environment equipped with the tools to help girls succeed both academically and personally. Since its inception in 1985, Pace has served over 40,000 girls across 25 communities in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, offering services at no cost to the girls or their families.

Lighthouse For The Blind

Lighthouse for the Blind & Low Vision is a nonprofit organization based in Tampa, Florida, dedicated to empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired to achieve greater independence. The organization offers a comprehensive range of services, including independent living skills training, assistive technology instruction, vocational rehabilitation, orientation and mobility training, and low vision evaluations. Programs are tailored for all ages—from early intervention for infants and young children to transition services that prepare teens for college, employment, and independent living. Additionally, Lighthouse provides statewide rehabilitation engineering services to support individuals in maintaining employment through adaptive technologies.

As a preliminary to the Miss America competition, it has awarded over $45 million in scholarships, supporting candidates in their pursuit of higher education and community service . In honor of my mentor the late Ellen Meade, Miss Florida 1973—renowned for her unique talent performance and dedication to the arts—we proudly fund the Women in Business Scholarship. This scholarship aims to promote and support aspiring female entrepreneurs and professionals, reflecting Ellen's legacy and our commitment to fostering leadership among women in business.

Metropolitan Ministries, our dedicated warehouse neighbor in Tampa, Florida, is a nonprofit organization committed to alleviating suffering, promoting dignity, and instilling self-sufficiency among homeless and at-risk individuals in our community. Through emergency shelter, transitional housing, food assistance, education programs, and job readiness training, they empower individuals to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Serving thousands of families each year, Metropolitan Ministries is known for meeting urgent needs while also addressing root causes of poverty. Their work extends year-round and includes major seasonal outreach efforts.
